Sporting Subaru's renowned all-wheel drive system and a rugged design, the Forester feels right at home in the great outdoors. The compact crossover also has a roomy and versatile cabin that can transport people and cargo with ease. Want to know more? Here's a quick overview of the dependable 2023 Subaru Forester! Your Guide to the 2023 Subaru Forester Power and Transmission Under the hood of any new Forester, you'll find a robust 2.5L flat-four engine that provides plenty of grunt with its 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. Sending that power to all four wheels is the Lineartronic continuously variable transmission, unique for its lighter, more efficient construction. For added driver engagement, this transmission is available with 7- or 8-speed manual modes. Fuel economy is impressive at an EPA-rated 33 highway MPG. Standard Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) lets you change the engine's level of power delivery with two modes: Intelligent for a boost in efficiency and Sport, which provides greater acceleration and responsiveness. Off-Road Capability Incorporating Subaru's decades of experience in designing all-wheel drive systems, standard Symmetrical AWD helps the Forester achieve an ideal weight balance that leads to greater control in low-traction environments. It also results in a smoother riding experience since the chassis rocks less when moving over uneven surfaces. Available X-Mode further reduces wheel slipping by adjusting throttle, evenly distributing power, and enabling hill descent control. Enthusiasts will want to consider the Forester's Wilderness trim, featuring several enhancements that enable it to tackle tougher trails more easily. These include an increase in ground clearance from the standard 8.7 inches to 9.2 inches, grippier all-terrain tires, and a durable front skid plate. Its version of X-Mode comes with additional settings for mud, dirt, and snow. Passenger Cabin Made with active lifestyles in mind, the Forester's interior features durable materials like the water-resistant StarTex upholstery and all-weather floor liners. The driver's seat is set at a more upright position to provide a more commanding view of your surroundings while off-roading. If you prefer a more luxurious space, you can opt for the genuine leather seats and rear seat heating of the Touring model. Most trims come standard with a panoramic power moonroof. There are many ways to secure your items in the Forester, including a large storage box in the multi-function center console, an underfloor compartment in the cargo area, and tie-down hooks. With the rear seats lowered, there's up to 74.2 cubic feet of cargo space available. The Subaru Starlink touchscreen infotainment system offers support for smartphone integration, SiriusXM with Travel Link, and high-resolution GPS navigation. The Subaru Forester is the perfect adventure vehicle thanks to its off-roading prowess and exceptionally practical cabin. Stop by at Dalton Subaru today and experience the 2023 model for yourself!

Dalton Motors is proud to announce the promotion of Lori Hofman as General Sales Manager at Dalton Subaru National City! Lori’s story starts from the ground up. During high school, she entered the Automotive Industry as Management Assistant for a local car dealer. She learned the ins and outs of communications by landing her first official role as receptionist. Hofman excelled at communications and transitioned to the Used Car Consignment Program, which routed her into the Coordinator of Used Vehicles Reconditioning. The company she worked with soon branched into a smaller Luxury brand and she was invited to become a manager, but it would require her to be a Sales Associate at a different company for at least 2 years. Lori obliged, and her experience as a Sales Associate paid off; she was offered the position at the luxury brand store as a Leasing Manager, then she transitioned into a Finance Manager position. Lori spent a decade working as a Representative for Automotive Lending where she became an expert on the entire San Diego Automotive Scene. Toyota then reached out to Lori to become their new Special Finance Manager and then was promoted to Sales Manager. Lori looks to bring her enthusiasm, experience, and ever-growing leadership into the role of General Sales Manager of Dalton Subaru. She is ready to help you and your family with your next new Subaru or Used Vehicle purchase or lease from Dalton Subaru National City.
