The Stein Family Farm

Enjoy the ride as you safely maneuver the road’s twists and turns thanks to the improved chassis on your new 2024 Subaru Impreza. This volunteer-run farm was originally a working farm owned by an immigrant German farmer, Charles Stein, and his wife, who lived there with their five children in the 1900s.

The museum was once a charming Victorian farmhouse but now displays antique farm equipment. Most of your day will be spent either in the orchard or meeting the farm’s animals, who include Chip and Oreo, two mischievous Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats, Blanca, the white Leghorn hen, Lucy, Bobbi, and Ethel, a trio of curious emus, Durango the mini donkey, and Rosey and Willa, two pigs from New Zealand.

Pepper Park

Found at number 3299 on Tidelands Avenue, this picturesque 5.5-acre coastline park was named after local businessman, Leonard Pepper, and provides beautiful views of San Diego Bay. Opening at 6:00 am and closing at 10:30 pm, the park is also equipped with secure bike racks, picnic tables, community art, and restrooms.
