This three-row, all-electric SUV seats up to seven, produces 420 horsepower, and can travel more than 300 miles on a full charge. It’s the largest EV Subaru has ever built, and it was made with families and road trips in mind. Keep reading for a closer look at what’s coming.

The Getaway runs on a 420-horsepower all-electric drivetrain with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard equipment. That means power goes to all four wheels at all times, which is something you’ll appreciate on wet roads or loose gravel. Ground clearance sits at 8.3 inches, and the dual-function X-MODE with Grip Control lets you adjust traction settings based on the surface you’re driving on. Towing capacity goes up to 3,500 pounds, so bringing a small boat or a trailer full of camping gear along for the ride is totally doable. The battery provides a range of up to about 300 miles, and fast-charge capability can bring the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 30 minutes. The Getaway is also compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network, giving you access to more than 25,000 fast chargers across the country.
With three rows and room for up to seven people, the Getaway is built around the idea that everyone should be comfortable. You can choose between six- or seven-passenger seating layouts depending on the trim. The third-row seatbacks fold down with the push of a button, and total cargo volume maxes out at 80.6 cubic feet when you need to load up. A foot-activated power rear gate makes things easier when your hands are full. StarTex upholstery comes standard, and on higher trims like the Touring, you get leather-trimmed seats instead. The Limited and Touring trims add ventilated front and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and even heated third-row seats. A panoramic glass roof with a retractable sunshade is available on the Limited in six-passenger form. On the outside, expect a bold look with color options like Pacific Pine Metallic, Supernova Mica, and Night Dive Blue Silica. The Touring trim also comes with exclusive two-tone exterior color choices and unique 20-inch alloy wheels.
Every Getaway comes with a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. Dual wireless chargers sit up front, and USB-C ports run through all three rows so every passenger can keep their devices powered. Digital Key lets you unlock and start the vehicle from your phone. One notable addition is Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) bi-directional charging, which means the Getaway can send stored energy back to your house. On the safety side, EyeSight Driver Assist Technologies come standard and include a Pre-Collision System and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. A driver monitor system watches for distraction or drowsiness. Blind-Spot Monitor and Parking Support Brake are also standard across every trim. Move up to the Limited or Touring, and you pick up Traffic Jam Assist for hands-free low-speed driving, Lane Change Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and Advanced Park for automatic parking help. The available Harman Kardon premium audio system rounds out the cabin on the Touring trim.
