One great outdoor activity in National City is visiting Stein Family Farm at 1808 F Ave. This living history farm features an 1880s farmhouse museum, a barn from the 1920s, and much more. It is open from 10 to 2 on Saturdays, there is no admission fee, and it is well worth a visit. This hidden gem can be found nestled in the industrial part of the city. You will feel as if you were transported over a century into the past, and the friendly animals that roam the farm will captivate you. Once you’ve toured the farmhouse and barn, you will feel relaxed. It is very refreshing to take a break from your stressful life and step back in time to a simpler life.

2. Relax at Pepper Park

We also recommend relaxing at Pepper Park at 3299 Tidelands Ave if you want to enjoy a great afternoon outdoors. Another popular highlight of this 5.5-acre park is a lighted fishing pier. This park is open from 6 AM to 10:30 PM daily, and you can fish at night. 3. Bike Down the Bayshore Bikeway

You can also spend a wonderful day enjoying the fresh air by biking down the Bayshore Bikeway. We recommend starting at the Broadway Pier at 1020 Harbor Drive, but there are other convenient points from which you can hop on the bikeway.
