Max's Journey to a Forever Home: Celebrating Subaru's Commitment to Pet Adoption and Love

Max

Last month was Subaru Loves Pets Initiative. We sponsored all the adoption fees up to $3100 during the month of October for the Chula Vista Animal Services (formerly Chula Vista Animal Care Facility). We are a dog-friendly retailer and have a dog park on-site.

Here is a link to our dog park page: https://www.subarudalton.com/subaru-dog-park.html

Here is an adoption story and attached pics.

Meet Max, He is a 2-year-old red and white Siberian Husky that entered our care on 10/6/2022. He took time to adjust to new people but enjoyed seeing staff each day. His favorite game is “catch me if you can”, which he was notorious for winning, and he LOVES treats! Max sat in his kennel day after day for over a year… without a single family asking to meet him!

We were thrilled when a family finally came in to meet him! On 10/10/2023 Max was finally adopted!! He now has a sister, Eve, who shares in his love of play and makes a great cuddle buddy. Max is learning it’s okay to leave the park because he’ll be back again soon! Next month Max, Eve, and their family make the big move to Virginia where he will get to experience the changing of seasons and maybe even SNOW!

Meet Mini

December was filled with delight for Sylvia and family when she went out and adopted Mini on December 11th, 2023 from the El Cajon Humane Society. Mini had just turned 4 years old and was 1.5lbs over her 3lb weight limit. Her paws couldn't with stand her weight and they rubbed rough against the friction of daily walks. However, after adoption, Mini has turned the corner and healed her paws and is treated like a total Princess! Hooray for adopting Mini! Thanks for sharing your story with us while during your Subaru Service with Dalton Subaru. We hope you get to enjoy our on-site Dog Park!
