2023 Subaru Crosstrek

For 2023, the Subaru Crosstrek is available in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Hybrid trim levels. Its high ride height, sporty grille, and contrasting bumper and wheel arch cladding display its rugged capability. The Base trim offers daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors, body-color door handles, roof rails, and a roof spoiler. Premium models add fog lights, a wiper de-icer, and heated mirrors. The Sport trim gets unique exterior accents for a more aggressive look, along with mirrors with integrated turn signals. Stepping up to the Hybrid or Limited trim gets you LED adaptive headlights, LED fog lights, and 18-inch wheels.

Base and Premium models feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to a six-speed manual or an optional continuously variable transmission that's standard on the other trims. In the Crosstrek Hybrid, the same engine is paired with an electric motor for a total system output of 148 horsepower. Powering the Sport and Limited trims is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque.

The Crosstrek's small dimensions and agile handling make it easy to maneuver around town, while highway driving is smooth and comfortable. With its standard symmetrical all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the Crosstrek also offers superior off-road capability. The available X-MODE and hill descent control give you even more confidence when the going gets tough. The Crosstrek gives you a towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds. Depending on the engine, you'll get up to 34 mpg on the highway and up to 28 mpg for city driving.

In the Crosstrek's surprisingly roomy cabin, there's plenty of room for five people, along with 20.8 cubic feet of storage space. With the 60/40-split rear seats folded down, you have a 55.3-cubic-foot cargo area. Base models feature cloth upholstery, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a tilt and telescoping steering column. The multimedia system has a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a four-speaker audio system. In the Premium trim, you'll find heated front seats, contrast stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Wi-Fi capability, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Sport models add push-button start, simulated leather upholstery, and paddle shifters, while Limited and Hybrid trims offer leather upholstery, a power driver's seat, an 8-inch touchscreen, and HD radio.

The Crosstrek comes standard with vehicle dynamics control, a four-wheel anti-lock braking system, brake assist, and brake override. The available EyeSight driver assistance technology includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and throttle management, lane centering, lane departure warning, and sway warning. Depending on the model, standard or available features include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, automatic high beams, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
